My Daddy is a wonderful artist. Some of his talent passed down to our kiddos...The creative gene totally skipped me!! heehee
Keziah and her portriat of Scooby Doo, Thelma, and Shaggy...
Keziah drew these by pausing a Scooby cartoon and drawing the character's faces.
Azaryah's art is more along the modern style...Lots of bold colors and interesting brush strokes ;-)
Corbyn drew this picture by hand...No tracing or looking at a photo...
Glen is a talented artist as well so Corbyn is doubly blessed with creative genes!!
Welcome as you step inside our daily life. We are excited to share with you glimpses of what God is doing in our family. Our family's journey began 21 years ago when Glen and I were married. We have had wonderful times as well as trials. Our journey is not perfect, but we are committed to try to glorify the Lord and we are excited to have you join us in our walk. Hold on because you are in for a fun, but bumpy ride…

Camping Trip 2009
Glen took us on our first family camping trip this past weekend. When we arrived, this is what our site looked like. Lots of room to set up camp and allow the kiddos to run and play.
Our fist night, we enjoyed cooking dinner outside, sitting around the campfire and making smores. We headed into our tent around 11:00 and watched The Dick Van Dyke Show all cuddled up in our sleeping bags. Around midnight, the rain started and the storm rolled through around 2:00am. We did put the kiddos in the van around 2:30 and slept in the van for about an hour. After the storm, we headed back to the tent for a nice, comfy sleep. Saturday night could not have been more perfect. The stars were out, the air was crisp and we slept so soundly we did not even wake up until 8:30am...That is VERY late for us!!!
Fall camping is wonderful!!! Very little bugs, nice, crisp air, and lots and lots of sunshine!!!

Good Morning
Our Campsite
I cannot believe I slept in this tent and woke up happy!!! heehee I am SOOO not a camper, but this camping trip changed all that. Fall camping is a wonderful experience...PERFECT weather, very little bugs, and just plain outdoor fun!!
Each morning, Eden would straighten our tent and make it nice and neat!!! She is a great little helper ;-)
Having electric and water right on our site really helped. Cooking outside was not as bad as I thought it would be...Actually very fun!!

Fishing Part 1
Saturday morning, Glen took us fishing. The girls and Azaryah had never been fishing before so it was quite the excitment!! Glen is a patient teacher. He spent time with each child showing him/her how to bait the hook, cast the line and reel it up. It was so fun enjoying the morning together this way.
Azaryah loved "helping" brother fish...I am not so sure Corbyn liked having him there talking loud and throwing in rocks!!! heehee
Azaryah and Mommy enjoyed the warm sunshine and relaxed as the others tried to catch our dinner.

Fishing Part 2
Fishing Trip Part 3
Keziah really enjoyed fishing...She did a great job casting her line and reeling it in!
Azaryah fished for a long time in that little puddle...He finally came to me and said, "Mommy, I don't think there are fish in there!" Too cute!!
Of course, Mommy had to show what she could do with a fishing pole!!! And I agree with Azaryah...I don't think there were any fish in there!!

Nap Time
Yes, we even nap when we are camping!!! heehee The kiddos were exhausted from a morning of play and fishing. We snuggled up in our tent and rested for a couple of hours. What a wonderful way to rest...The breeze blowing through the tent and the birds singing in the trees.
Of course, we had to hook up our DVD player so we could watch our favorite DVDs before nap and bed ;-)
