Testing out the Tent

Corbyn turns 13 on Friday!!! I cannot believe his is going to be a teenager!! Glen wanted to make his 13th birthday very special so he has planned a father-son camping trip in Colorado...What a wonderful Daddy!!!

Glen and Corbyn spent about an hour putting up the tent...Had to make sure they knew how everything worked before they head to Colorado.

The tent houses all 6 of us...Guess what our family will be doing in a few weeks when they get back from their trip?!?!? FAMILY CAMPING TRIP!!!

While the men worked on the tent, the girls and I made some homemade bread!!! YUM-O

Very Blessed!!!

Today, the children received a package from Nana V (Glen's mom). She sent them shoes, pants, tops, sweaters, craft items and their favorite chewing gum. Vilma blesses us several times a year by providing clothes and shoes for the children!!! She is a WoNdErFuL mother-in-law!!!

How to Make and Apple Pie and See the World

Azaryah's story this week is "How to Make and Apple Pie and See the World." We "visited" Italy, France, England, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, and Vermont gathering all the ingredients...He did a great job making all the flags representing each country/state...So fun!!!

A Very Good Night!!!

Glen and I started a bedtime routine when Corbyn (our oldest) was 3 years old. Corbyn HATED bedtime and it was a battle every night to get him to go to bed with a happy heart and without a fuss. We began putting him down 30 minutes earlier but allowing him to "read" before bed. That worked so well that we have continued to do this with all our children.

Azaryah, like his big brother, is NOT a fan of bedtime!! We have continued to train him...Last night, I read him some stories and explained that he would have a few minutes to read to his "buddies" before tucking them in for the night. Azaryah actually got into his bed with a smile on his face, obedience in his heart, and enjoyed his time of reading!!! YIPPEE!!!

Azaryah was a happy little boy and I was a happy Mama!!! Night Night!!
