October Camping Trip

We had the blessing of getting the same campsite we had last weekend. We LOVE this site because it is a large open space where the kiddos can run, play, and ride their bikes...

When we first got to the site Friday afternoon, the wind gusts were around 40mph...It was HILARIOUS trying to put up that tent with all of us holding it down and it still ballooning up and getting away from us!!! lol

By 6:00pm Friday evening, the wind was gone and the weather was great!!!

We love cooking over an open fire and roasting smores each night...

Both mornings, Glen was hard at work under our awing cooking a delicious breakfast for us!!

Our family has found a new favorite pass time...FALL CAMPING!!!

Getting Settled in Bed on Friday Night

After a fun day of setting up camp, playing outside for HOURS and eating a yummy supper of hotdogs, slaw, chips, and smores, we settled into our tent to watch the original Parent Trap...

Glen takes good care of us...It was a little chilly so he hooked up a small heater and we all were as snug as a bug in a rug ;-)

Azaryah has never slept as soundly as he did the past two weekends in our tent...Isn't he ADORABLE!?!?! heehee

My Man

Saturday and Sunday, My Man got up and cooked us breakfast...He is a GREAT cook (and ain't he cute?!?!?).

Breakfast would have been done a little sooner if I had left him alone ;-)

He and I make a good team...

Here I go again keeping him from making breakfast...

YUM-O...This is the spread My Man put before us both mornings!!!

Play Time

This weekend, the kiddo brought along their bikes and scooters. They played for HOURS on those every day...
Glen bought this tricycle for Azaryah before he was 1 years old...This is the first year his little feet actually reached the pedals. Boy, he got on that and took off!!! I have never seen a child catch on to something so fast and enjoy it so much ;-)

Keziah enjoyed her bike and rode the wheels off of it this weekend!!

Eden chose to take her scooter and thoroughly enjoyed that...Although, she did get home today and say her hips, legs and ankles were SOOOOO sore!!! heehee

Corbyn loved riding his scooter down the hill and scaring me half to death ;-)

Of course, I could not allow the children to show me up...I had to show them a trick or two ;-)

Rest Time

Saturday afternoon, we all climbed in the tent to prepare for rest time...We started with Daddy reading a chapter out of The Bronze Bow...

Our FAVORITE family game is Picturika!!! So fun...Of course, we had to play it several times before getting everyone settled in their sleeping bags ;-)

Everybody got comfy and we turned on the original Parent Trap and enjoyed some quiet time!!!

Saturday night, we enjoyed hamburgers cooked over an open fire...YUM-O

Night Night

Fishing...

Daddy bought Azaryah his very own fishing poll...Disney's Cars!!! Azaryah had to test it out before we got to the lake!!

After a few quick lessons...Azaryah was casting and reeling like a pro ;-)

Keziah is quite the fisherman...Baiting her hook and casting her line!!! Too cute

Eden and Corbyn wasted no time getting their lines in the lake...Corbyn and Daddy got up this morning at 5:00am to be at the fishing spot by 6:00am...They caught fish in the morning, but nothing in the afternoon!!

Mommy spent her time making sure neither Azaryah or his new poll fell in the lake ;-)
