One Day in our Life

Our week begins with the three older children going to CHE classes. These are classes put on by some homeschool mothers. Our children attend the afternoon classes from 11:00-4:30. They begin with lunch, then move to P.E., Art, Spanish, Composition, and Sign Language. I have the blessing of teaching all 40 children sign language during their last hour. While the older ones are in classes, Azaryah and I have "Mommy-Son" time. Sometimes we eat lunch with a friend and the little ones play or we just hang out together at the park or indoor play area. Of course, we also work in a nap!!! (You know I do not skip a nap, even if we are away from home!! HeeHee)

Tuesdays are nice because they are spent at home doing school and enjoying Daddy at lunch time. Today the girls decided to use their play time putting together several puzzles. It was fun and amazingly enough, there was no arguing!!

While the girls put together puzzles, Azaryah decided to play with several toys at once. He did put all of them up once he was finished...

Unfortunately, Azaryah also decided to mess up a couple of his sister's puzzles. For that, he spent a little time in the corner...By the way, Azaryah does have clothes but somehow he manages to get them off while I am busy elsewhere ;-)

Tonight is picture night at UPWARDS. The team will have pictures taken and then Coach Jones will work them pretty hard to get them ready for Friday and Saturday games. I hear Coach Jones is a pretty tough coach!! HeeHee

While the boys are off playing football, our little ballerinas are in dance class. They love to dance and they really love having time with ALL girls!! No balls, swords or dinosaurs there.

Pumpkin Mania

Today was filled with fun, laughter and playtime for both Mommies and children. Heidi, Cathy, Myself, Becky, and Karen spent the day at Cathy's home with all our children. There were about 25 people all together running in and out and up and down having a wonderful time.

Cathy had pumpkins for each child to paint and decorate. That was quite an undertaking being that there were 20 children in her home today.

Azaryah had a blast playing with his buddies.

Cathy, our host for the day, is so crafty. She had arranged for the ladies to make a flower arrangement our of a hollowed-out pumpkin and flowers from around her yard. I am not a "crafty" person, so this was a challenge for me. I have to say, I enjoyed it and it was a lot of fun :-)

Day Out with Cahrrie

Once a month, Cahrrie and I go to lunch and a movie. Today, we met up and enjoyed time together. It is a real treat in the midst of our busy lives.

Nana BJ and Pawpaw's Visit - September 2008

Nana BJ and Pawpaw came to visit us the first part of September. We had the blessing of celebrating Nana's 60th birthday on September 10th and Corbyn's 12th birthday on September 11th. This was Nana BJ's birthday cake. Can you tell she LOVES video games? The children planned her entire celebration. It began with breakfast in bed, lunch at Red Lobster, and a birthday party that evening. Corbyn found the cake and thought it was the perfect fit!!

Glen and Daddy rebuilt windows for our greenhouse while they were visiting. During that time, he had plenty of help. Azaryah LOVED being out in the garage with the big boys.

While Pawpaw and Glen were hard at work outside, Nana and the children found lots of fun things to do inside.

1st Day of School - August 18, 2008

We have had the blessing of home schooling since Corbyn was 3 years old. Corbyn is now in the 6th grade. Eden is in the 3rd grade. Keziah is in the 1st grade. Azaryah is just beginning to work on preschool. Our prayer is that we will be able to continue to home school until our last child graduates from high school.

1st Field Trip of 2008

The Zoeller Family came to visit us over the 4th of July. We packed up our 4 children and they packed up their 5 children and we all headed off to visit a historical site. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful visit with our friends.
