The Gang's All Here...

When we told our families that we were able to come to Kentucky to celebrate Thanksgiving, they were thrilled!!! This is the moment Annette and I saw each other...Can you tell she is excited?!?!? Too fun!!!

Nana V was greeted with BIG hugs from Azaryah the moment she walked in the door!!!

Glen and his Mommy were HAPPY to see one another as well...

Me and Mama...It was good to have her cookin' again!!!

Me and Daddy...It is always fun to hang out with my parents!!! We are all looking forward to their 2 week visit in December!!!

The Gang's All Here continued...

Family is such a blessing...We don't get to visit with them much, so this week was a real treat ;-)

The Girls...

The girls enjoyed doing Make-overs on one another...Boy, they did a LOT of making over!!! heehee

Daddy and his little girls...

Jason and his little girl...

The Boys...

While the girls enjoyed making over one another, the boys enjoyed some computer games...

Noah dressed up in Star Wars costumes...

Andrew watched some TV...

Noah, Logan, Corbyn, Austin and Azaryah played a TON of Wii games...

The Food

Jason and I started the preparations off by getting the green beans and sweet potatoes in the crockpots...

Annette, Hannah, Eden and Keziah very quickly joined the fun...

Keziah and Hannah helped Nana BJ cut up the veggies for the cornbread dressing...

Of course, they had to take a little nibble...

Nana V and Azaryah made Nana's yummy strawberry jello with pretzels!!! YUM-O

Cooking Time continued...

Nana V showed the Eden and Keziah how to roll out the dough for the dumplins...

Mom and Hannah stirred the dumplins to keep them from sticking...

Making dumplins is a team effort...Mom cut out the dumplins and I stirred the pot...It takes a long time to make them but they are OHHH SOOO WORTH IT!!!

The girls LOVE working in the kitchen with me but it is REALLY a treat to be able to help both Nanas cook!!!

YUM-O!!! What a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving meal!!! Many loving hands prepared the meal and many appreciative mouths ate the meal!!!

Snack Time...

Of course, we all had to nibble on a few goodies while we waited on dinner...Annette and Jason are SPOILING THEIR DINNER with chocolate doughnuts!!!

Now, Aunt Nette is trying to steal Azaryah's doughnut!!! STOP IT!!!!

Azaryah and Austin shared chips and salsa...Well, Austin shared...Azaryah grabbed all his little hands could hold!!! heehee

Down Time...

After Thanksgiving dinner, we all had a little down time...Daddy and Glen enjoyed the football game while the boys played a computer game.

Of course, I had to interrupt Glen's game for a little smooch ;-)

Glen and his Mommy goofed off in the kitchen...

Annette and Vilma took a little break out back...

Azaryah found a napping buddy!!! He did NOT have to twist Pawpaw's arm too hard to convince him to join him in a little snooze!!! heehee

Pool Time...

The hotel had an indoor pool and we all enjoyed some water fun on Thursday and Friday. Daddy and Glen took the kiddos swimming while Annette, Mom, Vilma and I spent all day Friday shopping...When we got back to the hotel, we had to join the fun!!! Here is Annette being Annette!!! heehee

Mom and Daddy...Happy 41st anniversary!!!

The End...

Friday night, we prepared to go to bed so we could get up early and head back home...Mom and Daddy surprised the kiddos with their Christmas ornaments. Each child has an ornament from my parents since the first year they were born. This year's is a snowman with a special "saying" on his/her belly. Sunday, the kiddos will place all their ornaments on the tree!!! Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful trip!!!

The Girls' New Room...

Glen and my Daddy made the toddler beds for the girls years ago...Now, they are 9 and 7 and they needed bigger beds. The girls decided to take their money and turn their little girls' room into a bigger girls' room.
Here is their room before the makeover...

The Projects

The girls' had a budget so we were not able to buy all new furniture and accessories. A dear friend of ours ALWAYS uses Craig's List and finds GREAT deals...She found a listing for twin beds and matching comfortor sets. Well, you know we had to match so I emailed the lady and she invited us to her home to see the items she has listed. The girls were able to purchase both headboards and rails, a box spring and mattress, both bedding sets which included comfortor, bed ruffle, shams, matching sheets and pillow cases, the curtains, and a decorative shelf!! Glen sanded down both headboards and painted them white.

We wanted to do a little more art in their room but art pieces can be pricey so we decided to do our own. We purchased the letters for their names at Hobby Lobby and then bought some paint and got to work...

The girls painted their letters with the opposite color of their boards but they were not done yet...

Aren't they AdOrAbLe?!?!?!
